The story:The game takes place in an alternate version of the 20th century, without the Second World War, although everything was leading to it. An unnamed country in eastern Europe is facing a deteriorating economic situation: unemployment, hunger, and a host of other problems. Many say it was done artificially. A year before the events of the game, a law on religious tolerance is signed in Europe, resulting in the emergence of many different sects and religions. The Order of Kami is one of them.
There are many rumours about this Order are circulating around, but no one really knows how it gained popularity or its essence. In this swirl of events, the unemployed protagonist (he or she) of the game receives a letter with an curious offer...
Basic mechanics:
Among the features is a stress system. Depending on its level, new opportunities will open up both in the gameplay and in the plot. For example, you will not be able to interact with corpses normally when you are under low stress. Also, depending on the level of stress, the protagonist can be mistaken when making an important decision. There are many choices in the game, all of them are important and lead to different consequences. Inattentive stress management can be very expensive.
To recover from stress, you will have to use cigarettes and alcohol. Interaction with the guide, rest, etc. will also help. But the best effect will only come from the first two options - according to the specific addiction you choose at the beginning of the game. This also provides a level of difficulty, as cigarettes will be much easier to find than alcohol.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is based on the search for solutions. You have a task and different ways to complete it. You can choose the most obvious one and hope that it won't be the worst, or you can try to understand the problem and find a better solution. The game will give you hints and clues, but it is not direct. It depends only on the player's curiosity and attentiveness whether the player will go further, and what this ‘further’ will be.
