Project Introduction

Apartment Story is about 3 people and a gun in a London flat. It is a 3rd person
narrative game with The Sims esq needs management and violent bursts of 3rd person
action. It is a videogame about not having any money, about the terror of a single, half
loaded gun in a domestic setting and it is about love.

Gameplay is split between trying to keep your life stats up so that you can earn enough
money to keep food in the fridge and the electric meter in your house topped up and
dramatic narrative interjections.

About Developer

Blue Rider is a newly formed Videogame Studio focused on making dramatic, thirdperson narrative experiences within realistic, modern day settings. UKGF fudning enabled us to come together and give this a proper go. The four of us have all worked together in various ways at small UK studios in the past and are now focused on Apartment Story.

My name is Sean Wenham and I started Apartment Story as a solo project but managed to get some help from friends along the way now, again, thanks to UKGF funding. I started the Glasgow Game Dev meet-up group and have been working in the UK Games scene for just over 10 years now. My first solo game was called The End of the World and is about a break up in Newcastle and has been downloaded over 5 million times.
