Project Introduction

Rabbit Dungeon of Death — is a dark fantasy card crawler with rogue-like elements.

The game is built with a classical roguelike formula: it is a turn-based dungeon crawler in a dark fantasy setting with characters, procedurally generated dungeons, rabbit art graphics, and the permadeath.

The graphic style, the story and the characters are based on Volf Maple's "Rabbits Travel" animation mini series. All elements hand drawn and animated frame-by-frame by Volf himself. So, basically, he is the GOD for this rabbits, kind of.

RDoD take place in a dungeon like any other rogue-like game. But this time it is all about the rabbits. And death which is fun in some way. The main storyline tells about brave warrior (obviously, he is a rabbit) who have to find the source of evil in the dungeon. During his journey he will face different enemies, various levels and bosses. In the dungeon he will find a lot of different weapons, artefacts and magic spells to use them against evil, even so the evil is endless and can't be destroyed.

The game have an in game storyline with cut scenes between the levels. However, the game mechanics remains rouge-like classic with generated levels. Every time the player dies he have to start from the very beginning.

This game was inspired by Warhammer 40K mythology, Enter the Gungeon and Dungeon Cards games and childhood in post soviet Russia.

"Even so you can't destroy the evil you have to keep on trying..."
