Project Introduction

Neanderthallica is a adventure puzzle-metroidvania with a fun storyline in a prehistoric procedurally generated world.

- Players can change the weather which affect the environment, battle system, etc.
- Players can craft spare parts and combine them in the inventory making new weapons and gear.
- The new combinations of weapons & weather conditions make you able to solve puzzles and defeat enemies\bosses along the way.
- Players can freely go back and explore a procedurally generated world to find easter-eggs, secrets, collectible artifacts, and create achievements.
- According to a prehistoric setting, all dialogs look like a bunch of symbols, which you can learn and translate for communicating with NPCs.
- The storyline is being narrated through the dialogs, events and lore objects (cave paintings, totem carvings, etc).
- There is a great possibility to make a co-op, PvP or Battle Royale based on our weather changing mechanics.

About Developer

Cheers Studio is a gamedev studio from Kyiv, Ukraine. It was founded near the end of 2017 by Kirill Bykov.

He did research to understand which types of games are rare on the market, which settings haven’t gotten boring, which game would be fun to create. And so, Neanderthallica was born!

The core team contains 4 people by 2021:

- Kirill Bykov - founder, game designer, artist and programmer
- Dmitriy Vetrov - pixel-artist
- Slava Dyadyun - sound designer
- Natalia Solovieva - SMM

We are very proud that Neanderthallica prototype was awarded "The Best Gameplay" at Games Gathering Odessa, Summer 2019 & 2020.
