Project Introduction
Forgotten but Unbroken is inspired by Xcom mechanics, but from ww2 era. It tells stories of forgotten heroes and events of ww2. And it tells about some villains of the era too. The game is based mostly on reality. There are historicall characters, heroes, weapons and events of the ww2 era. Apart the main game story (to help your allies to defeat Nazis in Europe) there is a personal story of main character. This story is inspired by a true story too.Enemy units are processed with history in mind but to keep good game mechanics at the same time. SS divisions are much harder to defeat than regular Wehrmacht units for example.
Apart the standard game mechanics of the genre there are some in-game unique mechanics, never used before in this style. Defensive missions, heavy gun´s nest mechanic, artillery support mechanic, laying land-mines mechanic etc.
Impress your allies (from west or east) and they will provide you money, weapons, ammunition, medicines and theis best elite units for limited period of time.
Heroes like Jack "Mad Jack" Churchill, Vasily Zaytsev, Tommy "The kilted killer" MacPherson and others will help you out, if the worlds leaders allow it. But on the enemy side, elite villains like Otto Skorzeny, Josef "Sepp" Allerberger and others hit you hard and can become your nightmare.
Player manages his resistance group in a base. His base can be upgraded and managed to achieve more and more successful missions and impress his allies.
