Project Introduction

The player will choose airplane components to assemble into a plane and explore that region looking for ingredients that they will collect using an arcade style shooting mechanic. Upon returning to their brewery HQ they will craft drinks that they can stock in their own bar or deliver to local NPC bars. These actions earn money that will enable the player to purchase more plane parts from the catalog and upgrade.
The pirates will maintain control of some islands and it will be up to the player to take on the giant pirate bosses to drive them off, however since the player uses a water powered gun the villains are never killed outright and they will return later with additional weapons.
Once the player achieves a certain level of fame from successfully running their brewing and delivery business, and defeating the pirates a number of times, a final showdown against the pirates will be triggered at which point the player will win the game.
There will be various other activities and sidequests to perform outside the core game such as scavenging from sunken wrecks, recruiting a roster of copilots and revealing their stories, giant floating airship markets, maybe a fishing game if we have time...
The island placement and features are randomly generated at the start of each game so it is hoped that the game will have some replayability.
