Project Introduction

Slay the Princess is a heavily branching, time looping horror-romance game about trust, perception, and choice. As the player finds themselves torn between the desires of a narrator and those of the princess he wants slain, what is and isn't real can shift with a single decision.




About Developer

Black Tabby Games is an indie studio founded by Real Married Adults Abby Howard and Tony Howard-Arias. Their narrative games place an emphasis on exploring player agency and choice within stories, and usually fall at the intersection of horror, humor, and romance.

In addition to her work in video games, Abby is the acclaimed cartoonist behind works like The Last Halloween, The Crossroads at Midnight, Junior Scientist Power Hour, The Earth Before Us, and many more.

Before co-founding Black Tabby Games, Tony worked a variety of positions for a variety of publishing and tech companies, including The Boston Globe.

Abby and Tony live in Toronto with Spoons the cat, Wednesday the snake, and Nubs the axolotl.
