Project Introduction

Choose a hover taxi and get working. The player (taxi driver) is challenged to pick up and deliver as many chatty and zany passengers as they can while dodging mile-high skyscrapers, busy 24th century urban skyways, & blabbermouth pedestrians, without running out of time. The faster they deliver fares the more money they earn and the more bonus time they gain.

Features:
Three gameplay modes to choose from
- In regular gameplay mode, the player chooses which passengers they should pick up and drop off to maximize earnings and extend game time
- With Challenge mode, the player must sequentially deliver specified passengers to level up
- Free Roam mode lets the player freely explore, learning the city's layout, advanced hidden shortcuts, and other secrets

MiLE HiGH TAXi's unique urban environment is an aesthetic that stands in stark contrast to dystopian sci-fi movies and games

Choice of three players and taxis:
- Kyle (male)
- Emma (female)
- Skyler (non-binary)

- Plays like a retro arcade-style game, common in the Super Nintendo era and early 2000s
- Countless Easter eggs, certain to appeal to cross-generational science fiction fans, can be found throughout the game. Many are fan community-provided references (Reddit, Twitter)

About Developer

My name is Cassius. I have been 3D modelling and making games for 30+ years for fun, working in Unity since 2012, but have still never finished a game. I began production of MiLE HiGH TAXi in Toronto (game's city is based on Toronto) in December 2019 as an evenings and weekends project. This will be the first game I release, being approximately 98% complete as of this writing.

Game development is a passion, but it isn't what I do for work. By day, I work for CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) as a Cloud Architect/Linux Sysadmin/DevOps where I'm responsible for the server infrastructure and pipelines for CBC.CA, a high-traffic site visited by 20million+ Canadians each month.
