Aeon Wars: Maschinen Crisis

Project Introduction

Aeon Wars brings all of the depth and hobby of wargames to video games.

The core gameplay consists of selecting your army, deploying it strategically on the map and battle your opponents to win the scenario. There is no resource building. Armies are assembled from your collection outside of play just like in collectible-card-games. Once in game, you deploy your units to execute on your strategy and counter that of your opponent.

You can play along with friends as a team, in versus mod; or solo vs other players and scenarios. Aeon Wars offers both competitive and casual play.

Aeon wars features collectible models that you can fully customize: change parts, add accessories or create your own custom paint scheme. You can assemble them in dioramas to be featured in your collector space. Invite friends to hangout and create together or exchange models.

The game is set in the original sci-fi universe of Maschinen Crisis. Here is the narrative backdrop:

It is the year 2411 and what will later be known as the 3rd Aeon Wars has erupted on Leng, a colonized moon 14 light years away from Earth.

Three major fronts have formed: the human centric Nesuvan Empire; the Arkosys, corrupted sentient AIs; and technologically advanced Pax Terra from Earth.

This war was ignited with the rebellion of slave Aeons in Imperial Nesuv rising against their master. This rebellion provided the distraction the radical Arkosys, bent on eliminating humans from Leng, needed to launch their all-out assault on the Empire. Pax Terra, preoccupied by the continuous abuse of Aeons by Nesuv, sent a military fleet to dissuade further violence and bring reason to the Arkosys.

These powers have pulled all of Leng’s nations into a full-scale war with the Nesuvan Empire bent on subjugating machines to humans, the Arkosys obsessed with eradicating mankind from Leng and Pax Terra struggling to bring peace to factions that want none of it.
