Project Introduction

Melatonin explores the relationship between the dreams we have when we’re asleep and the experiences we go through when we’re awake, through unique rhythm game levels. Hand-drawn in a colorful and detailed visual style, with music produced to flow hand-in-hand with the gameplay and visuals, you will piece together elements about the main character’s life as you dive deeper and deeper into their dreams at night.

There are over 20 levels to discover spread across 5 chapters, with every level introducing a new way to follow the rhythm. You unlock harder difficulty modes as you progress that will test your rhythm reflexes and skill.
There's also an easy to use Level Editor that lets you re-map existing levels.

Melatonin also contains handy accessibility options that can help players that need more visual or audio aid. There's also a Practice Mode that will guide you through each level to help prevent you from feeling lost.

About Developer

My name is David and I'm currently the sole member of Half Asleep which is the studio name that I want to eventually build a team under. I previously worked in various creative fields including graphic design and product design before deciding to pursue my dream of making games. Melatonin will be my first released game but I'm hoping to form a bigger team with local Vancouver devs for future projects.
